We are the Family and Consumer Science Department at Hoover High School. This blog will showcase the awesome things that are happening in all of our classes. We currently have four FCS teachers: Ms. Young (department head), Mrs. Hawk, Mrs. Riddle, and Ms. Serrano. This year, Ms. Young teaches Food and Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, and Life Connections. Mrs. Hawk teaches Fashion, Child Services, and FCS. Mrs. Riddle teaches all FCS classes, and Ms. Serrano teaches Food and Nutrition, Interior Design, and FCS with Career Prep embedded.
Monday 3/18/19
-Logo Unveiling-
On Monday, we revealed our logo that is on the wall in the hall around our classrooms. Thank you to Coach Smith who made our logo ideas come to life and Next Level Graphics who put our logo on the wall. We asked Mr. Montgomery (our principal) and Ms. Moore (one of our assistant principals) to unveil the logo for us because they played a huge part in making this all possible! The support and love we have received as a department has been incredible as we try to rebrand our department!

-Website Launch-
This morning during 1st period we launched our FCS Department Website for the first time! Mrs. Riddle's FCS classes created a wonder array of snacks for all of our 1st period students! Mrs. Hawk's students created props for our awesome photo booth! It was an exciting event!
